Hi Families!
Thanks to everyone who joined us for our annual Fall Festival on October 12th! This was the first year we also included the food drive and with all the donations we donated 88 pounds of food to the Center for Self Reliance on Osgood St!! Thanks for all your help ensuring that our neighbors in need can have food for their families! All of our volunteers worked hard to put this event together and we hope everyone had a good time.
Our Next meeting is Nov 13th NOT Nov 6th due to no school that day. On Nov 15th our Butter Braid and Lyman Orchard Pies arrive and will need to be picked up that afternoon by those who brought in orders. The items arrive frozen and it's important that they remain frozen until ready for use. We do NOT have freezer storage available for forgotten orders, so please make every effort to pick them up. Reminders will be sent home. We raised over $2000 to help send students on field trips this year! Thanks for your help!
On Dec 5th PTO will be having a Fall Book Fair in conjunction with our first ever Math Night! Enjoy some fun math games and shop for books for your friends and family. Our Book Fair will be open THIS DAY ONLY from 4-7 pm. You can also shop the fair online anytime between 11/25 & 12/8 http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/newtonschool if you are unable to come the the fair. Money raised from the book fair will help us purchase books for our spring Bingo for Books event where all students who play leave with a free book.
Please remember to continue to clip Boxtops through out the year! Each one is worth ten cents, and they add up fast! it is a quick an easy way for us to earn money for our school off of items you buy anyway. If you haven't already, please consider signing up for Big Y Education Express at our local store and also Stop & Shop A+ Rewards. There is no extra cost to you and it helps us out!
Thank you!
