Thanks to everyone to came an enjoyed our annual Fall Festival on the 21st! It was great to see our little community having such a fun time. I am especially thankful to everyone who helped pull it all together, especially everyone who has ever participated in any of our fundraisers. It is through these fundraisers that we are able to put together these free fun family events!
This was the second year we did the food drive, and this year we collected 75 pounds of food for families in our community! THANK YOU! If you were unable to drop off non-perishables on the 21st but would like to, the Center for Self Reliance on Osgood street is open Mon, Tues, & Weds until 6pm. One thing that I love about us is that even though times may be tough for many, we continue to work together wanting to help our community, and for that I am very thankful.
We are keeping the schedule light for December with only our meeting on Tues Dec 3rd at 6pm, where will be discussing some event ideas for the next quarter. Everyone is welcome to attend, and we hope to see you there.
We work hard to put together events that are fun and free for all to enjoy, as it is one of our main goals. Some new longer term goals we are proudly working on for the next couple years are 1) a new message sign to be mounted on the fence visible to Rt 2A, and 2) we are in the very early planning stages of a new playground! More details about these will be made available in the future. So many things to be excited about!
Looking into next quarter we will have a fundraiser, some events such as Bingo for Books, and our annual coin drive to help Warm the Children right before February break.
As always, find us online www.newtonpto.weebly.com or of Facebook as "Newton school pto". Contact us [email protected] or leave us a message (413) 376-8666.
Have a great Holiday!
