PTO Meeting Minutes -
Attendance: Erica Burns, Tara Cloutier, Jennifer Perreault, Lindsay Siano, Angela Morrissey, McKenzie Girard, Melodie Goodwin
1. Budget -
No pending or out standing payments.
2. Events -
A. The PTO sponsored an assembly on bullying titled "Unafraid" with Jay Banks. His schedule had an opening for March 6th and the vote had to be done via email. All officers thought this was an excellent opportunity and voted yes. Thinking of scheduling this same assembly for the start of school in September. The total cost for this was $1511.50.
B. Dining For A Cause is set for Tuesday, March 18th at The 99 Restaurant here in Greenfield from
C. MCAS is set for March 18th and 20th. The PTO will be providing water, gum, cheese sticks and snacks for this testing time. Jennifer volunteered to be in charge of this project.
D. Teacher Appreciation Week is the week of May 4th through the 10th. The PTO thought it was a good idea to have The Smithsonian provide lunch for all staff during this week. All in attendance agreed and voted yes to spend $250 for this event.
E. Spring Book Fair to be held May 20th - 23rd with Friday May 23rd to hold a MadLibs/Spring Dance. MadLibs would be played in the cafeteria while DJ Bobby C played today's top hits in the Gym. The bookfair part of this event would run from
F. Talked about having an Arbor Day/Earth Day/May Day celebration. Both Arbor Day and Earth Day land during April vacation. Will talk more about this at the next meeting. Also need to schedule the next Clean Up day.
G. Need to plan a Field and Fun Day for the end of school.
3. Fundraisers -
1. Original Works is set for the end of March.
2. Still hoping to plan a movie morning at The Garden Cinema. Will talk more about that at next meeting.
4. Projects -
1. Benches are still in the works. Hoping to have more information by the next meeting.
